Standing Wave is an intimate single room recording studio, geared primarily to small groups, solo artists, and spoken voice projects. The space is best suited for acoustic, blues, jazz, pop, and singer/songwriters.
The studio and equipment reflect quality and professionalism. Recording is fully digital, using Cubase software and a RAMSA digital console. Monitors are Mackie HR824's. Equipment brands include: Alesis, Behringer, Audio Technica, Drawmer, ART, DBX, Blue, CAD, Electrovoice, AKG, Fostex, Digitech, Mesa Boogie, Guild, Fender, Hofner, TASCAM, Sony, Carvin, Universal Audio, Spectrasonics and Latin Percussion. Oh yes, and everything's done on Macintosh.
While quality equipment is important, achieving superior recordings requires the experience, skills and ears of an ace recording engineer. Greg Vaughan, owner and principal audio engineer at Standing Wave, has been recording ever since the first 4-track recorders came out over 20 years ago. He's a collaborator who can help take your project to a higher level. Let's get visionary.
